Building Champions: Orlando Health Empowers OCPS Student-Athletes & Celebrates our Stellar Employees
For more than a century, Orlando Health has been a pillar of the Central Florida community, evolving into a world-class healthcare system with more than 5,700 physicians and 41,000 team members. Widely known for its life-saving Level I Trauma program at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) and the renowned Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, Orlando Health’s mission has always extended far beyond the walls of its hospitals.
One of the most impactful expressions of this mission is their long-standing partnership with Orange County Public Schools. By helping honor Stellar employees and investing in the next generation, Orlando Health ensures that students have the resources they need to succeed both in the classroom and on the field.
The partnership between Orlando Health and OCPS isn't just about physical health; it’s about celebrating the dedicated professionals who make the district’s success possible.
Orlando Health is proud to be the Galaxy Sponsor at the 2025-2026 Stellar Awards. This premier event honors the "stars" of the district—the teachers, support staff, and administrators who go above and beyond for more than 201,000 students.
By sponsoring the Stellar Awards at the highest level, Orlando Health continues to demonstrate its deep-rooted commitment to the entire OCPS family.
Orlando Health’s support for high school athletics is comprehensive. Through the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, the group provides expert medical oversight, athletic training services, and injury prevention education. This partnership ensures that student-athletes across 13 high schools have access to the same high-caliber sports medicine care typically reserved for professional and collegiate teams.
Whether it is providing on-site care at football games or offering specialized screenings for student-athletes, Orlando Health is dedicated to keeping Central Florida’s young talent safe, healthy, and ready to compete.
The commitment to student-athletes starts at the top. Senior leadership at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute views high school sports as a vital training ground for life.
"We believe that the lessons learned through high school athletics—teamwork, discipline, and resilience—are foundational to a student’s future success," said Michael Jablonski, MD, president of the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. "Orlando Health is proud to partner with OCPS to provide the medical expertise and support necessary for these young athletes to pursue their passions safely and reach their full potential."
Congratulations to all of the 2025-2026 Stellar Honorees! Your hard work and dedication continue to make Orange County a better place to live, learn, and grow.
